These terms apply when you buy a ticket for the Synapse AI Summit 2027. Please read them before you complete your order.

Summary

  • Ultra Believer and Believer tickets are non-refundable, but you can transfer them for free.
  • Other tickets can be cancelled until 17 April 2027 for a refund minus a €25 fee.
  • Company tickets can be transferred to a colleague for free, and self-funded tickets for a €25 fee.
  • The programme, schedule and event name may change; your ticket stays valid.
  • If we cancel or postpone the Summit, or substantially change its format, you can choose a full refund or a ticket to a future edition or another equivalent event we organise.
  • There is no 14-day right of withdrawal, because the tickets are for an event on a specific date.

1. Organiser

The Synapse AI Summit 2027 ("the Summit") is organised by Synapse AI Group Oy (business ID 3656890-9), Palomäentie 34 A 3, 33230 Tampere, Finland ("we", "us"), registered in the Finnish Trade Register, VAT number FI36568909. You can contact us by phone at +358505561170 or by email at accounts@synapsesummit.ai.

2. Scope

These terms apply to every ticket and add-on bought for the Summit, held on 17–18 May 2027 at Sokos Tripla Conference Centre, Helsinki. You accept them when you complete your order.

The Synapse AI Summit Code of conduct is part of these terms. If you buy a ticket for someone else, you confirm that you have told them about these terms and the code of conduct.

Mandatory consumer protection law always takes precedence over these terms.

3. Tickets and prices

Tickets are sold in tiers. Each tier has a fixed number of tickets, shared by all ticket types in that tier, and the price rises when a tier sells out. Prices are in euros. The price shown at checkout is the total price, including VAT at the applicable rate and any booking fees.

From Pioneer onwards, each tier offers the same seat at two prices:

  • Company ticket: for tickets an organisation pays for, including when your own business pays or you claim the ticket as a business expense. Priced + VAT, with a VAT invoice in the organisation's name. You can pay by card or by invoice (section 4).
  • Self-funded rate: for individuals paying personally, not as a business expense. Card payment only, one ticket per order, with a receipt in your own name rather than a VAT invoice.
  • Team tickets: three or more company tickets of one tier in one order cost 5% less with access code TEAM5. This applies from Pioneer to VIP.

Ultra Believer and Believer tickets are for individuals paying personally, one ticket per order, on the same terms as the self-funded rate. VIP tickets are company tickets; if you are paying personally, you can ask us for a self-funded VIP ticket.

If a business pays for a self-funded ticket or claims it as an expense, we may change it to a company ticket and invoice the difference. You can also ask us to make this change, for example if your employer decides to pay. An invoice order that includes self-funded, Ultra Believer or Believer tickets may be changed to company tickets, with the difference invoiced, or cancelled.

Company tickets paid by card get a VAT invoice by email within 5 working days.

If someone else paid a lower price, earlier or later, that is not a reason for a refund of the difference.

We sell tickets through Ticket Tailor, and Stripe processes card payments.

Your contract is with Synapse AI Group Oy and is made when you complete your order. Before you pay, you can check and correct your details. Ticket Tailor then emails your order confirmation and tickets, with the main terms and a link to these terms. Keep that email and a copy of these terms: together they are your copy of the contract. The contract is in English.

4. Paying by invoice

Organisations buying company tickets can choose "Pay via invoice" at checkout for orders placed by 1 May 2027. After that, pay by card.

  • Invoices are due 14 days from the invoice date, and in any case before the Summit starts.
  • If an invoice is not paid after a reminder, or is still unpaid on 16 May 2027, the day before the Summit, we cancel its tickets. The order is then simply cancelled, with no fee and nothing more to pay.
  • Late payment interest follows the Finnish Interest Act.

5. Right of withdrawal

Under the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, the 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases does not apply to tickets for an event on a specific date. Your cancellation rights are set out in section 6 instead.

6. Cancelling your ticket

  • Ultra Believer and Believer tickets are discounted and non-refundable. You can still transfer them under section 7.
  • All other tickets can be cancelled until 17 April 2027. We refund the price minus a €25 administration fee per ticket, within 14 days of your request, to the payment method you used.
  • After 17 April 2027 tickets are not refundable, but you can transfer them.

To cancel, email accounts@synapsesummit.ai with your order number.

7. Transferring your ticket

Until the Summit starts, you can transfer a ticket to another person:

  • Ultra Believer and Believer tickets: free, as an early-backer perk.
  • Company tickets: free, to a colleague.
  • Self-funded tickets: for a €25 fee per ticket, including VAT.

To transfer, email accounts@synapsesummit.ai with your order number and the new attendee's name and email.

You may not resell a ticket for more than you paid for it, or sell it through a ticket resale platform.

8. Changes to the Summit

We are building Synapse AI Summit in public, so some details may still change after you buy your ticket, such as speakers, sessions, schedules, rooms, the programme format and the event’s name or branding.

If we change the event’s name or branding, your ticket stays valid for the renamed event, with the same perks and rights.

Some features depend on how many tickets are sold, such as a networking evening, a third track and a fourth track (for now planned on day 1 only). They take place only if the stated target is reached by the stated date.

These changes do not give a right to a refund, unless the Summit as a whole changes substantially (for example if the dates, the city or the face-to-face format change).

9. If we cancel or postpone the Summit

If we cancel the Summit, postpone it, or move it to a substantially different format, you can choose either a ticket to a future edition of the Summit, or another equivalent event we organise, or a full refund, including any fees. This applies to every ticket type.

If we cancel the Summit, for example because too few tickets are sold, we will tell you by email and refund everything you paid us, including any fees, within 14 days of that email. Any unpaid invoice is cancelled, with nothing to pay. If you would rather have a ticket to a future edition of the Summit or another equivalent event we organise, reply to that email within 7 days and we will arrange that instead of the refund. Tickets already cancelled under section 6 are not affected, and the €25 fee for them stands.

We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you have paid.

10. Events beyond our control

We are not liable for failing to hold the Summit, or for changing it, because of events beyond our reasonable control. Examples are orders from public authorities, epidemics, strikes, natural disasters or the venue becoming unavailable. Section 9 still applies to your ticket.

11. Perks and add-ons

Some tickets include perks:

  • VIP tickets (company, team and self-funded): the VIP Lunch on one day of your choice, a pre-Summit VIP warm-up meetup, a named seat at the front, priority entry, priority booking for workshops and early access to 2028 tickets.
  • Adopter tickets: reserved seating at the front and early access to 2028 tickets.

We announce the format and date of the VIP warm-up meetup in good time before the Summit. Speakers may join it, but their attendance is not part of the perk.

Buyers of any ticket can also opt in to free add-ons at checkout: the Wall of Fame, the numbered First Signal shirt and taking part in the speaker evaluation, if it is still running. They go to the first buyers who opt in, while they last, one of each per ticket.

We offer perks and add-ons as described when you buy. They have no cash value and are not refunded separately. If we cannot provide a perk included in your ticket, we will offer a comparable alternative. If you don’t accept it, we will offer to refund the difference between your ticket’s price and the price of an available lower ticket tier that does not include that perk.

12. At the Summit

Bring your ticket or badge, and be ready to show identification. Badges are personal.

We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who breaks the code of conduct, the venue rules or these terms, or who puts others at risk. They will not get a refund.

Alcohol at evening events is served only to people aged 18 or over.

13. Photos and recordings

We may photograph and film parts of the Summit, such as sessions and the social areas, and use the material to report on and promote it. You may appear in that material.

If you would rather not be photographed, tell us at registration. We will give you a visible sign, such as a lanyard in a different colour, and our photographers will avoid you. Our privacy notice explains your rights.

14. Liability

Our liability to you is limited to the price you paid for your ticket. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit or travel costs.

These limits do not apply to death or personal injury, to damage we cause on purpose or through gross negligence, or where mandatory law says otherwise.

You are responsible for your own belongings at the venue.

15. Personal data

We handle your personal data as described in our privacy notice.

16. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms at any time. The current version is always published at synapsesummit.ai/terms, with the date it was last updated. Changes apply to tickets bought after they are published.

For tickets you have already bought, a change applies only if it does not reduce your rights, or if the law requires it. We will email you about any significant change.

17. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Finnish law. If you have a problem, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it.

If you are a consumer, you can also contact the Finnish Consumer Advisory Services (kkv.fi) and take a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta), or bring a claim in the district court where you live.

Other disputes are settled in the Pirkanmaa District Court.
